Founded in 2005, the firm is located in Richmond, Virginia and currently manages more than $100 million.
R. Scott Redmond, CFA, Founder
In addition to overseeing the strategic direction of RAM, Scott leads the portfolio management and research efforts at the firm. Prior to founding RAM, Scott worked at The Capital Management Corporation where he directed research and managed portfolios. Scott began his investment career with Godsey & Gibb Associates where he was a Sales Associate, Research Analyst and Portfolio Manager. He earned a B.A. in Chemistry from Washington & Lee University and has a Masters degree in Biomedical Sciences from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Scott is a CFA Charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of Virginia. He is an avid golfer and actively involved in The First Tee.
Jeremy B. Kirkland, CFA, Chief Operations Officer
Jeremy is primarily responsible for conducting equity research and portfolio management tasks. He also provides ongoing oversight of the firm’s operational protocols, client account maintenance, billing, and performance reporting. Prior to joining the firm, Jeremy was a Financial Analyst at HCA, Inc. where he was responsible for the ongoing identification, analysis and resolution of payment and billing inaccuracies, selected financial reporting, and supported payment analysis and recovery departments with database management and development. Jeremy received his B.A. in Economics from Washington & Lee University. He is a CFA Charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of Virginia.
James F. Jollay, Chief Equity Strategist & Portfolio Manager
Jim brings over forty-one years of industry experience to his roles as Equity Strategist and Portfolio Manager at RAM. His most recent previous role was as Chief Investment Officer and Managing Director at the Capital Management Company in Richmond, VA. Other previous positions include: Chief of Investment Policy, Capitoline, Richmond; SVP and Chief Investment Officer, First Wisconsin Trust Co., Milwaukee; Portfolio Manager, Montague and Caldwell, Atlanta. Jim graduated with his B.A. from Miami University in Ohio. Jim enjoys writing investment strategy pieces and spending time with his young grandchildren – who keep him young.
James T. Alexander IV, Head of Business Development
Jamie is primarily responsible for business development. A smaller portion of his time is spent researching equities and assisting in the investment decision making process. Prior to joining RAM in July 2010, Jamie was a reporter for StreetAccount LLC, a financial news website, where he identified and disseminated relevant financial news to institutional investors. Previously, he worked at The Jackson State Bank & Trust in the Commercial Lending and Accounting departments. Jamie received his B.A. in History from the University of Virginia. He has passed the Series 65 exam and is a Level II CFA candidate. Jamie serves on the Board and Finance Committee of F.I.R.S.T. Contractors and the Finance Committee of Safe Harbor.
